Travel
June 2008
The artist traveled to Osaka, Nara, Ise, Yokohama and Tokyo, Japan with faculty and students of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Highlights were the Kinkakuji Buddhist Temple and the towns of Nara and Kamakura.
April 2008
The artist traveled to Rome, Florence and Venice with friends Chris Baker, Mary Jo Chisholm, Carol Fallon, Lucy James, and Kathy Thompson. One highlight was the Church of the Immaculate’s Crypt of the Capuchin Friars in Rome, an amazing series of constructed chapels made from the bones of thousands of monks.
